Built in 1996, we hold a copy of the engineering report by AUTEST (Automotive Transport Engineering Services & Testing) of Woodcroft SA giving a thorough background to this build and approval.
Subject of recent service and attention by muscle car specialists in Marleston SA , Dream Works garage.
We also have been supplied with the Government of South Australia “Certificate of Exemption for a One-Off Construction”. Main points of this exemption are as follows:-
1. The fitting of a fibreglass replica Cobra body to a manufactured chassis.
2. The fitting of an unmodified 5.0 Litre Ford Windsor V8 engine fitted with and aftermarket inlet manifold and carburettor.
3. The fitting of a Holden LH front cross member and suspension assembly incorporating Holden LH Torana disc brakes.
4. The fitting of a Ford Fairlane rear axle assembly, incorporating Ford Fairlane disc brakes.
5. the fitting of a Holden LH Torana steering rack and pinion assembly and steering column.
6. Exemption from compliance with Section 61/3 of Australian Design Rule 61- Vehicle Configuration and Marking, for fitting the
of an “Approved Compliance Plate”
7. Exemption from ADR’s 69/00 – Full Frontal Occupant Protection, 72/00 – Dynamic Side Impact Occupant
Protection and 73/00 – Offset Frontal Occupant Protection.
8. Exemption from compliance with Australian Design Rule 81/01 – Fuel Consumption Labelling for light vehicles.
