This vehicle built in January 1961 appears to have spent a lot of it’s life in Southern California, we hold some documentation supporting it’s existence.
Imported to Australia, we hold a copy of the Vehicle Import Approval issued by the Federal Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development, #150648/4 dated the 11th of December 2015.
This vehicle has undergone a major restoration since being in South Australia and we have a large folder of photos and paperwork to support it’s current condition.
The top speed of a 1961 Ford Falcon Pursuit with the 144 ci (2.4Lt) engine is approximately 145kph, though it was more about fuel efficiency than high performance.
The “Pursuit” designation referred to the base model with a specific engine, not a high-performance version of the car.

Performance: While official top speed figures for this specific engine in this model year are not widely published, sources indicate that the standard Falcon was not built for high speeds.
