2005 FERRARI 575M MARANELLO HGTC COUPE – F1 Presenting in Rosso Corsa with Black leather interior trim. An Australian delivered and quite rare 575M Maranello, delivered new by Barbagallo Ferrari of Osborne Park WA on the 11th of March 2005. This car is an extremely rare and sought after offering featuring the coveted HGTC pack from factory. The upgrade package included a power upgrade, stiffer suspension, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, a sports exhaust system, exclusive 19″ wheels, sports seats, chrome wire grille, and a revised ECU enabling faster gear changes. Of the 2,056 575Ms produced, only 98 were specified with the desirable and sought-after HGTC package from the factory. Service history shows early attention by the delivering dealer and most recently under South Australian ownership, by Adelaide Ferrari specialist, Veloce Motorsport of Hindmarsh Adelaide on the 14th of December 2023 at 53,664kms. At that service, 4 new Michelin Pilot Sport tyres were replaced. At a more recent visit to Veloce Motorsport, all the hand brake shoes were replaced. The Ferrari 575M Maranello (Type F133) is a two-seat, two-door, grand tourer manufactured by Italian automobile manufacturer Ferrari. Launched in 2002, it is essentially an updated 550 Maranello featuring minor styling changes from Pininfarina. The 575M was replaced by the 599 GTB in the first half of 2006. Updates from the 550 included a redesigned interior as well as a number of mechanical improvements, including bigger brake discs, a larger and more powerful engine, improved weight distribution, refined aerodynamics and fluid-dynamics along with an adaptive suspension set-up (the four independent suspensions are also controlled by the gearbox, to minimize pitch throughout the 200-milliseconds shift time). Two six-speed transmissions were available, a conventional manual gearbox and, for the first time on a Ferrari V12, the “F1” automated manual gearbox built by Graziano Trasmissioni. The 575 model number refers to total engine displacement in centilitres, whilst the ‘M’ is an abbreviation of Modificata (“modified”). For 2005, the company released a HGTC handling package along with raising the power from 379 kW to 397 kW. Powered by that uprated 5.7 Litre V12 engine, it produced 397Kw of power, delivered to the rear wheels via a 6 speed F1 semi-automatic transmission. Performance figures suggest 0-100kph in 3.9 secs and a top speed near 325kph. Together with the uprated V12 engine, large carbon ceramic brakes, the HGTC handling package and a brand new set of Michelin tyres, this superb Ferrari is just a dream to drive and begging for the road ahead. 1948 MG TC ROADSTER – 1,081 MILES SHOWING Probably one of the most popular MG models ever made, this model is really just a post war example of the earlier TA and TB pre war models, which had to be suspended during the war years as the Abingdon MG factory was turned over to the Ministry of Defence to assist in the war production of weapons and materials. The US servicemen based in the UK during the war just fell in love with MG Midget design and driving down English country lanes, so when the conflict was over and they were sent home, they pined for this car. Lovingly known by many past and present owners as “bone shakers”, they are such fun cars to drive because they deserve all your attention and give you back so many reasons to smile. As a direct result of US demand, the TC was developed by MG and export sales sky rocketed. Later models, particularly the MGA and MGB directly were riding on the initial success of the TC’s US market success. Presented here is a much loved and restored TC #9260, in a very traditional colour combination of Green with Green interior and a Tan coloured roof. We hold an original style instruction manual (Handbook), which comes with the car. Powered originally by a 1.25Lt 4 cylinder engine, it produced (54.4bhp) 40.6Kw of power, delivered to the rear wheels via a 4 speed manual gearbox. Performance figures suggest 0-100kph in 21.3 secs and a top speed near 130kph. The current owner has supplied the a large folder of documents, magazines, parts catalogue and photos relating to the current condition of the car. He purchased the car in 1986, so there is a wealth of knowledge, love, toil and expense put into this car over nearly 40 years of ownership. 1956 FORD THUNDERBIRD CONVERTIBLE – AUTO – 71,212 MILES SHOWING * AVAILABLE TO INSPECT BY APPOINTMENT ONLY * The first generation of the Ford Thunderbird is a two-seat convertible produced by Ford for the 1955 to the 1957 model years, the first 2-seat Ford since 1938. It was developed in response to the 1953 Motorama display at the New York Auto Show, which showed the Chevrolet Corvette. The Corvette in turn was developed in response to the popularity of European sports cars among Americans. Dubbed a “a personal car of distinction” by Ford, this appellation was also used by the motoring press at the time. The car built upon the heritage of the bespoke roadsters of the 1930s, yet was constructed largely of existing components, marking the first step toward the evolution of the personal luxury car as a mass market segment in the United States. While light weight for its era and fitted with a standard V8 engine, the Thunderbird focused more on driver comfort than speed, and was not a direct rival to either the Corvette or European sports cars. The Thunderbird proved more suited to the American market than the Corvette, with sales of 16,155, versus 674 Corvettes in 1955. This remained the only two-seat convertible Thunderbird until the eleventh-generation was unveiled in 2002. The design of this generation of the Ford Thunderbird was the direct inspiration for the German Auto Union 1000 Sp. The Thunderbird came with a removable fiberglass top as standard equipment, with a fabric convertible top as a commonly specified option. The engine was Ford’s 292-cubic-inch OHV 292 Y-block V8. The exhaust pipes exited through twin bumper guards bolted to the rear bumper. This particular example presents in Off White with Red interior trim. Powered by a 292ci ( 4.8Lt) V8 engine, it produced when new 150.5Kw and 392Nm of power and torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a 2 speed Fordomatic auto transmission. While the body work , exterior and interior are showing some patina, the underneath and mechanical side of the car are in great shape.
