1969 LOTUS ELAN S4 DHC – MANUAL – 56,963 MILES SHOWING Presenting in Off White with Black interior trim. Number 447 out of 471 S4 Elans built. Original delivery was to a resident of Michigan USA via Lotus Cars Canada, we hold a copy of the original Certificate of Title showing details and a Certificate from Lotus Cars UK. They also show the original exterior colour as Red with Black interior trim. We also hold a copy of the Australian Federal Government Vehicle Import Approval # 11460 and dated the 26th of July 2017. Just freshly serviced so it is right up to date for the next owner. Some background into the origins of the Lotus Elan:- The Lotus Elan was the first Lotus road car to use a steel backbone chassis with a fibreglass body. This style of construction was to be repeated in subsequent Lotus models for nearly three decades. At approximately 680 kg, the Elan embodied Colin Chapman’s minimum weight design philosophy. The Elan was technologically advanced with a DOHC 1,558 cc engine, four-wheel disc brakes, rack and pinion steering, and 4-wheel independent suspension. Gordon Murray, designer of the McLaren F1 supercar, reportedly said that his only disappointment with the McLaren F1 was that he could not give it the perfect steering of the Lotus Elan Engine & Performance The S4 model featured the robust Lotus-Ford Twin Cam engine, which delivered impressive performance for its light weight. Engine Type: Inline 4-cylinder, DOHC (Double Overhead Camshaft), 2 valves per cylinder. Displacement: 1,558 cc (1.6 Lt). Horsepower: Approximately 85.7Kw/115 bhp (brake horsepower) at 6000 rpm (for the SE version). Torque: 147 Nm at 4000 rpm. Fuel System: Typically came with twin 175 CD-2 Stromberg carburettors (or optional twin Weber 40 DCOE/Dell’Orto DHLA carburettors depending on spec). This example has the twin Weber 40 DCOE carburettors. Transmission: 4-speed manual gearbox. Top Speed: Near 190kph 0-100kph : Approximately 7.1 seconds. Chassis & Dimensions The S4 maintained Colin Chapman’s philosophy of “simplify, then add lightness” with its innovative construction. Chassis: Rigid steel backbone frame. Body: Lightweight fiberglass reinforced plastic one-piece moulding. Curb Weight: Approximately 680 kg Length: 3.69 m. Width: 1.42 m. Wheelbase: 2.3 m. Mechanical Features The vehicle was technologically advanced for its time, with a focus on superior handling and braking capabilities. Suspension: Fully independent on all four wheels with coil springs and telescopic shock absorbers. The rear used a “Chapman strut” design. Brakes: Four-wheel disc brakes (9.5-inch front, 10-inch rear). Steering: Rack and pinion. Wheels: 13-inch peg-drive centre-lock steel wheels were standard. Headlights: Vacuum-operated retractable headlamps. All together, one of the nicest English sportscars to reach the market in the 60’s, very quick then and still is and just a delight to drive. This example comes with a large folder of documentation from it’s present owner, who is a Lotus fanatic and parting with one of his cars with mixed feelings. All the paperwork supplied shows his dedication to the car and his constant attention to it’s needs. He has also supplied the following information which explains the car’s current status and condition:- “Michigan title but all import documents correct and included. Invoice for parts to restore engine. Engine machined by Southcott’s Competition pads fitted so screeching front brakes Certificate of authenticity as a type 45 December 1969 Carnival red. Weber 40 carbs. Compression increased to Sprint specs Chassis was rusty. I had another Elan being built to FIA appendix K specification requiring a new Tony Thompson strengthened racing chassis. My mechanics modified the spare chassis to replicate the strengthened racing chassis. This is now in the car. Body off restoration. My mechanics used to be John Surtees F1 mechanics. They also did Indy and CanAm. Shell was sand blasted and then had a tissue thin cloth of fiberglass put over the whole body to prevent future crazing. Car was then painted to match the colours of the Elan Sprint which I use in sprint events. Spinner tool for hubs – over $200 Wheel bearings replaced Overhauled rear suspension struts Overhaul driveshaft bearings Clutch replaced Starter motor and alternator replaced Even restored down to window pulleys, hinges and courtesy light switches Oil seals Sebring mirrors New front and rear bumpers New brake discs New jack shaft, pistons, valve springs Valves and compression increased to Sprint size Diff restored/rebuilt Gearbox restored/rebuilt New tail lights New wiring loom about $800 plus freight New dashboard Water pump kit which means any water pump maintenance doesn’t require engine out and head off. Plus new water pump components Timing chain Wider rims from a plus 2 with new sticky tyres New tensioner sprocket. New steering rack New pedal box New seat runners Brake callipers plated and reconditioned by Power Brakes. New discs all round.” Eligible for Historic registration in most jurisdictions, this equates to minimal on road costs. Available to inspect on our state of the art showroom floor in Adelaide. We can arrange transport door to door Australia wide, or you may be tempted to just drive it home.
1977 FERRARI 308 F106 GTB COUPE – MANUAL – VETRORESINA – 97,749 KMS SHOWING Presenting in Rosso Corsa Red with Black & Red leather interior trim. An Australian delivered 308, we hold a large file of paperwork from the owner relating to it’s history and service attention. Whilst in the present South Australian ownership, services have been completed by Adelaide Ferrari specialists Veloce Motorsport of Hindmarsh, most recently completed in December 2025 at 97,698kms. Powered by a 2.9 Litre V8 engine, it produces 187.5Kw and 294Nm of power and torque, delivered to the rear wheel via a 5 speed gated manual gearbox. Performance figures at the time of release suggest 0-100kph in 5.5 secs and a top speed near 250kph. The current owner has supplied the following information to explain it’s background:- (Note that the odometer has done a full rotation so 100,000kms needs to be added to the current odometer reading.) Technical Specifications Engine : V8 DOHC 2927cc capacity Engine position : Mid, transverse Power : 255bhp (187.5Kw) at 7500rpm Fuel system : 4 Weber carburettors Transmission : 5 speed transaxle manual Suspension : Independent front & rear Body / Frame : Fibreglass body over tubular steel chassis Brakes : Power assisted for wheel ventilated discs Steering : Rack & Pinion Wheels : 16 x 7 and 16 x 8 alloys History of the Marque Designed by Leonardo Fioravanti of Pininfarina to both replace the 206/246 Dino (of his design) and sit alongside Bertone’s 308 GT4, the Ferrari 308 GTB was introduced at the 1975 Paris Motor Show. The initial release of the 308 GTB saw Enzo Ferrari’s “Carrozzeria” of choice, Sergio Scaglietti (whose business was across the road from Ferrari’s Scuderia Ferrari in Trento Trieste in Modena) take the unusual step to produce the new Ferrari’s body work in Vetroresina (Italian for fibreglass). This Lightweight Composite Material enabled the total weight of the 308 GTB to be just 1,050kg. This construction method marked the first time that a composite body was sold on a production Ferrari. 1960 PORSCHE 356B T5 1600 SUPER COUPE – MANUAL – 86,351 MILES SHOWING Delivered new by Hamilton’s of Melbourne (Australian Porsche agents at the time). Recently serviced by Porsche specialists in Adelaide, Rennen Motorsport of Marleston on the 20th of November 2025 at 86,351 miles. Porsche Cars Australia have provided the following information about this delivery when new:- Australian (Hamilton’s) delivered Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) 109828 Model year 1959 Exterior colour Ruby Red Green tinted windscreen Hub caps with Porsche crest This lovely example now presents in Silver with complimentary Red interior trim. Sadly presented to us as part of a deceased estate, however from the large file of invoices and books given to us, the late owner was very fastidious and this car was obviously his pride and joy. Amongst the paperwork we hold is evidence that this is not the original engine, but a 1600 engine which was bought up to Super 75 spec and possibly above with a hot camshaft, new distributor and enlarged and re-jetted Zenith carburettors. This work was done including the paint change around 2001-2002. The following explains the subtle differences between the 1600 and 1600 Super models:- The main difference between a Porsche 356B 1600 and a 356B 1600 Super is engine performance and components: the 1600 Super had significantly more horsepower (around 75 bhp vs. 60 bhp for the standard 1600) due to higher compression, upgraded carburettors (like larger Solex carbs), and other internal enhancements like stronger rods and different cylinder heads, making it a much sportier, higher-performance version of the standard model. Visually, they shared the B-series updates, but the Super often featured distinctive hubcaps and sometimes specific exhausts or suspension options. Key Differences Explained • Engine Power: The standard 1600 produced about 60 horsepower, while the 1600 Super offered around 75 horsepower, a substantial increase for the era. • Internal Components: The Super engine featured a higher compression ratio, larger carburettors (like Solex 40 PII-4), and often used stronger connecting rods and different valve gear (like those shared with the Super 90) for improved breathing and durability. • Carburetion: The standard 1600 used single carburettors, whereas the Super models used larger, more efficient carbs, sometimes twin setups in higher trims like the Super 90, which used dual Solex carburettors. • Visual Cues (Minor): While both shared the 356B’s updated body (higher bumpers, larger indicators), Supers often had domed hubcaps with the Porsche crest, a feature usually absent on the base 1600. • Handling Options: While standard, the 1600 Super could be optioned with improved suspension components like softer torsion bars or rear compensating springs, enhancing its sporty nature. In essence, the “Super” designation denoted a factory-tuned, higher-performance engine package, making it a significant step up from the entry-level 1600 model. Powered originally by a 1582cc (1.6Lt) 4 cylinder Super engine, it produced 55.65Kw(75bhp) and 117Nm (86Ft/Lb) delivered to the rear wheels via a 4 speed manual gearbox. Performance figures at the time of release suggested 0-100kph in 13.7 secs and a top speed near 175kph. Modifications done some 23 years ago suggest the above figures might have been improved upon. If you have been looking for an Australian delivered 356 in very usable and fine condition, please consider this example on our state of the art showroom floor in Adelaide. Eligible for Historic registration in most jurisdictions, this equates to minimal on road costs. The current SA plates RRR356 may be available if slod in South Australia. We can arrange transport door to door Australia wide.
1948 MG TC ROADSTER – 2,767 MILES SHOWING Probably one of the most popular MG models ever made, this model is really just a post war example of the earlier TA and TB pre war models, which had to be suspended during the war years as the Abingdon MG factory was turned over to the Ministry of Defence to assist in the war production of weapons and materials. The US servicemen based in the UK during the war just fell in love with MG Midget design and driving down English country lanes, so when the conflict was over and they were sent home, they pined for this car. Lovingly known by many past and present owners as “bone shakers”, they are such fun cars to drive because they deserve all your attention and give you back so many reasons to smile. As a direct result of US demand, the TC was developed by MG and export sales sky rocketed. Later models, particularly the MGA and MGB directly were riding on the initial success of the TC’s US market success. Presented here is a much loved and restored TC, now sporting a new colour green and also wearing the sometimes preferred 16′” wire wheels. Powered originally by a 1.25Lt 4 cylinder engine, it produced (54.4bhp) 40.6Kw of power, which was distributed to the rear wheels via a 4 speed manual gearbox. Performance figures suggest 0-100kph in 21.3 secs and a top speed not much further at around 130kph. Current performance figures are not available, but almost certainly would be slightly improved on the original figures above. A previous owner has supplied the following information on the current status of this car:- “MGTC 1948 Chassis #4840 Marvellous condition and a superb road car. Comfortable and a pleasure to drive. Fully rebuilt with the following inventory front to rear:- 1. Front suspension, including new springs, bushes and brakes 2. Radiator re-core 3. Special water pump manufactured by Race Metal UK, for competition vehicles 4. Engine 1300cc fully rebuilt and balanced. Smooth and powerful. -Compressions 170psi+ per cylinder and runs perfectly on 91 octane. 5. VW steering box conversion by John Bowles WA. Huge improvement over original steering. 6. Gearbox fully reconditioned 7. High ratio differential 4.55 : 1 8. New fuel tank by UK specialist 9. Electronic S.U. fuel pump 10. Five 16” wire wheels 11. Fully rebuilt body tub. New timbers and panels as required. 12. All new interior trim and leather seats (Apple Green) by UK specialist – including new seat springing and bases as per original, all manufactured in the UK. 13. New duck hood with zip out rear window + side screens manufactured by the same company as above In other words, a ground up restoration which has attempted to improve the vehicle wherever possible to produce high quality build standards with much improved performance and driver satisfaction, together with a higher degree of comfort and “Safety Fast” Total mileage 2767 and very carefully run in. Car originally purchased by M J Menzel on 1/9/1948 from Motors Limited Adelaide for 641 pounds. Its registration was SA 148 347 and the engine is XPAG5479. Registered in SA as above until 1967. Further history unknown until 2001 when it was purchased by R O’Malley, needing total restoration It was then sold to the current owner in 2006 in that same condition and an eight year restoration followed. The work was undertaken by MG Car Club mechanics/members from SA, Victoria & Perth and the owner over many hundreds of hours. Most of the parts were directly imported from UK specialists and Moss Motors Bradford UK but unfortunately we have very little in the way of receipts. ” The above words from a previous owner are very understandable when you consider the old “bone shaker” tag that the TC has worn for years. Here you have a pre war style MG, but tastefully improved so you can enjoy the car on our roads and traffic conditions of today. Eligible for Historic registration in most jurisdictions, this equates to minimal on road costs. This lovely example is available to inspect on our state of the art showroom floor in Adelaide. We can arrange transport door to door Australia wide.

1968 FORD F100 UTE – AUTO – 25,133 MILES SHOWING An Australian delivered F100 Ute that we understand interestingly, started life in the NSW Police Force and fitted out as a “Paddy Wagon” This vehicle has been subject to a major bare metal restoration and we have not only a large folder of receipts for the monies spent, but a USB stick with many photos showing the re-build. Now presenting in Turquoise Blue (CB679765) with Black interior trim. Originally fitted with 240ci (3.9Lt) 6 cylinder engine, it has now been fitted with a 351ci (5.7Lt) Ford V8 engine. The current owner’s word’s best describe the whole journey:- “This classic 1968 Ford F100 was Australian delivered and according to SVO number indicates it was acquired by the NSW police force originally as a paddy wagon. Following its service with the police force it was purchased at auction to a farmer in Victoria. When I bought the truck in 2017, I deliberated for a long time as to whether I should do a full restoration or a weathered patina but eventually when I finally made the decision and had the time, a full resto was the way to go. In 2022 I engaged bodies by Isaac who was very passionate about body restoration and then proceeded painstakingly the process of preparing the body work for paint. The objective was to do a full ground up rebuild as per the photos provided which included A pillars, B pillars, cab corners, inner fenders, cab etc. Keeping the body as original as possible was paramount and only cut out rust areas as minimally as possible. Any cut outs were replaced with hand formed galv plates. Prior to welding, these areas were primed with weld proof primer and all internal panels and seals were raptor coated before being sealed to ensure the prevention of any further rust. As the body work continued, the chassis was taken to Gerace Mustangs to perform the rebuild and fit out of all new brake lines, fuel lines and complete restoration of chassis, brakes and diff.. This included 2 pack paint for the chassis, new brakes & discs and all new bushings. The diff was rebuilt with new LSD fitted. All with the mindset of ensuring a smooth ride and improved handling and comfort. Whilst at Gerace Mustangs the truck was also fitted with a 351ci Cleveland V8 with a C6 auto trans which was bought from Tony Gerace. To further enhance the drive ability of the truck we engaged Retro Rack to build a complete rack and pinion steering and mouths. At this stage we were into our third year of restoration, and this is when the paint process commenced. I engaged Lori Cirelli from Cirrelli Automotive Refinishing because of his exceptional attention to detail. The amount of photo logging provided to ensure that his workmanship could be traced at every stage was reflected in the pride he takes in his work. We chose the colour Ford Frost Turquoise Blue (CB679765) which truly makes the truck a standout. The interior work was completed by Carafano Motor Trimmers and the craftmanship was excellent. The seat is original and was reupholstered which incorporated a weave pattern to pay homage to the Ford GT of 70’s. All body panels that were fitted back are original to the truck. The truck has blue tooth radio, seat warmers and air conditioning which were added for modern day comfort. The restoration was finished in November 2024 and photos tell the story of the amount of time and eort that went into this high quality restoration. For anyone who is looking to own a piece of American/Australian Automotive history, this iconic 1968 F100 is a perfect blend of classic design and modern performance.” We have no performance figures to match the current engine fitment, however I’m sure the NSW police would have enjoyed the increased performance. A superb presentation which would make an ideal classic vehicle for car show and shines, classic events and cruises or a special vehicle to advertise your business. If you were planning an F100 restoration, save yourself countless hours of time and expense and consider this beautifully finished example. Eligible for Historic registration in most jurisdictions, this equates to minimal on road costs. Available to inspect on our state of the art showroom floor in Adelaide. We can arrange transport door to door Australia wide.
